Free open call opportunity - 2024 Taiwan International Print Biennial

Just wanted to share a free open call opportunity for fellow printmakers. Was nosing around online and saw an open call for the 2024 Taiwan International Print Biennial (https://printbiennial.ntmofa.gov.tw/w/print21EN).

The prize money for the top 15 prizes range from $12,000 to $900 (NTD$400k - NTD$30k). And the top ten even get free travel, room, and board for the opening/award ceremony in Taiwan. The competition seems pretty stiff though, some beautiful works from the 2022 biennial amongst the finalists and awardees. But at the cost of “free”, there’s no reason for me not to submit. :)

It’s open to everyone. The only real restrictions are that the print need to be original, to have been made on or after 2021, and to have a paper size of least 40cm (about 16”) on shortest side and at most 150cm (about 59”) on longest side. Plus lots of other details at the biennial website.
