The 2024 Big Show at Lawndale - free open call for Houston area artists
The Big Show is a wonderful free open call for Houston area artists held yearly at the Lawndale Art Center. I usually make it a point to apply because it is local and it is free. But because it’s free, it’s also pretty competitive - I have been applying for years now and was finally accepted for last year’s show :). Needless to say, will be applying again this year.
A good thing about local calls is that, if you get in, you just have to drop off your work and won’t have to worry about shipping/return shipping your work, a big plus.
